The Mighty Sparrow: “Sparrow Dead”
Who killed the sparrow?
We all did. People
form a single sling/er shot,
bam, the sparrow breaks
on a branch, song
like a pollen dot
drifting over new grass,
dew planning to revolt
against parched plums.
