Wow! My curiosity has been aroused , the door opened and then? Who are these beings? Mama was not only different from the being in the room she was also different from tem. who are they?

In this story Ms. Ellis asks some eternal questions. What are we here for? What is out there? Through her four characters and her stark and evocative prose Ms. Ellis shows the reader the different faces of human nature. In the end the reader is given some wonderful gifts, that of choice and exploration.

Well told tale. I’ll be haunted by these four characters certainly and this room in which this story is contained until in the end the door is opened. Amazing how one is left to wonder about the world beyond or outside this room. In what city or country and on what continent? A wonderful feat of imagination. It does call to mind Golding’s Lord of the Flies – however slight might be the connection.
